Needed: Judges for 1992 Developers Competition The 1992 Developers Competition is designed to let software developers demonstrate their abilities to build a basic database system using the tools of their choice. There will be over 100 teams competing from around the world. They will be competing for $10,000 in cash and much more in prizes. It is a great opportunity to see first hand the range of development tools available. One way to participate in the event is to be a judge. The typical profile of a judge would be a software developer, author, computer manager, or MIS department head with a solid background in personal computer database development work. The person who is selected will not be judging the actual computer code, but will be judging applications using our judge's scoring sheet. The following criteria will help you determine whether you can help us by being a judge: Knowledge of basic relational database concepts, Familiarity with many (10+) different software products, No bias toward any particular OS (Mac, DOS, Windows, OS/2), experience in at least 3 of the following: Software Design, Software Development, Programming, Software Testing, Software Training, or Documentation. If you would like to be a judge, E-Mail a response with your address and phone number and we will send you more information. 1992 Developers Competition, 1816 Front Street, Suite 130, Durham, NC 27705.
