hy. This isn't a usual ShareWare doc file. why? because those are
        so boring to write. Not even and introduction or contents list or
        whatever am I going to put in here. Haha. Well anyway, MakeDs is
        a program that makes a UsRobotics Modem to a UsRobotics 16.8k
        dual standard Modem! But of course this is not something that your
        modem agrees to immediately. First of all, you have to have a
        UsRobotics modem. Others don't work, because such half modems are
        simply not good enough. But then, The Usr modem HAS TO BE Module-
        built for this to work. The Easiest way to find out is to find out
        how new it is, the easiest way to do this is to look at those
        lights of yours. Are they squared? Then you are lucky. Your modem
        is ok. Round? well sorry dudes. I know how this feels Because I
        have one myself :(. If you are not convinced about that, something
        like your modem is new but the lights are old, or the lights are
        neither squares or round (Tell me if that's the situation!). The
        easist to do then is to simply try the program. Works? then you
        have a new modem, module built. Doesn't work? Haha. you got
        yourself an old modem. Hurry up and buy a fucking new one. ugbebuk.
        Now we have that sorted out. Good. Now its only to run the program.
        if you don't understand what switches and options to use - Fuck off.
        If you do use the switches and options correctly, thank the authors
        of the program for fixing a 16.8k ds modem for you. Is there
        anything more anybody wants to know? oh yes. How to test it? Well run
        the program with the correct switches and options as described, and
        them type ati7 or ati6 or atisomething to check if ya got it. If
        you receive any error messages or see no changa at the ati? commands,
        it doesn't work. Most Likely an old modem or VERY unlikely a bug in
        the program. Contact the authors if you seriously think it is a bug.
        Since the author tested it through a great deal after the 0.9 version
        which seemed to hang on most comports. Sorry about the 0.9 version
        but we were in a hurry getting the program out in time.
