Cal's Brain Strain v3.01 ReadMe


Solitaires differ widely in the opportunities they afford for the 
exercise of skill.  Some are purely mechanical, while others torture
the mind.

Cal's Brain Strain is a variation of Calculation Solitaire.

"Calculation stands at the top of the list of games that give
opportunity for skill."

So says the world's leading authority on cards & gambling, John Scarne,
in his classic work, Scarne's Encyclopedia of Card Games. You've played
all the other solitaires - but are you good enough for the king of them
all?

The last three files are not distributed with Cal's Brain Strain. 
COMMDLG.DLL & MMSYSTEM.DLL come with Windows and so should already
be on your system.



Installation
____________

1)  Create a directory and extract the CAL301.ZIP file into it.



Troubleshooting
_______________________

1) Cal's Brain Strain does not support Large Font video displays.

2) The Custom Card feature will not be supported by all video cards.
   If the card size appears distorted to you, please use one of 
   the six default card back designs available.

3) If you experience palette flashes or palette corruptions when 
   using a custom card back, increase the number of colors your 
   video card is running in.

4) To improve animation performance, play the game with a 256-color video
   resolution.
