This version of RealPlayer Plus 5.0 expires 60 days after installation.

System Requirements

Windows 95 and Windows NT (32-bit)

System and hardware requirements:

RealPlayer Plus 5.0 program is installed in the C:\REAL\PLAYPLUS directory, unless you specify otherwise. The installation also installs several system files into the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory on your hard drive.

Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 (16-bit)

System and hardware requirements:

    Manually Configuring Your Browser

    After you upgrade your browser, you may lose the configuration information for the RealPlayer program. The easiest way to re-configure your browser is to re-install the Player. Alternatively, you can manually configure your browser:

    Viewer name:C:\REAL\PLAYPLUS\REALPLAY.EXE (Windows) or RealPlayer (Macintosh)
    Mime Type:audio
    Mime Subtype:x-pn-realaudio
    File Extensions: .rm, .ra, .ram
    File Type:PNRM

    Troubleshooting

    If you experience problems with the RealPlayer Plus 5.0, please look at the documentation available on our Technical Support web page.

    Using RealPlayer Plus through a Firewall

    RealPlayer Plus uses port 7070 for TCP and ports 6970 through 7170 inclusive for UDP transmission. If you are accessing the Internet through a firewall, your firewall administrator will need to authorize these ports. Firewall information is available on our Firewall web page.

    Full Screen

    The Full Screen option is available in the 32-bit Windows version only. If you are using Windows 95 or NT and still have problems have problems with Full Screen, make sure that you have the following installed:
