Welcome to Active ChannelsTM
Active Channels are Web sites specially designed for Internet Explorer 4.0. These sites use the new features of Internet Explorer to bring you a faster and more exciting Web experience.

Active Channels are designed so you can view them even when you are not connected to the Internet. For example, you can easily set up your favorite Active Channels to be downloaded to your computer at night, so you can browse them the next morning or while you travel.

The page you are viewing is an example of a full-screen window, which is a new way to view Active Channels or any Web site you want.

You can close a channel by clicking in the top-right corner, or disable Full Screen by using the toolbar.
The Channel bar slides offscreen when you use a full-screen window, to give you more room. Point to the left edge of the screen to get it back.

Click the pushpin icon on the Channel bar to stop the bar from sliding.
To start using a channel, just click its button in the Channel bar.

Internet Explorer 4.0 comes with a set of Active Channels already installed. You decide which channels you want, what to download and when, and how you want the information delivered.
To add any channel to your Channel bar or customize one, just click the Add Active Channel button on your favorite Web sites.

You can also drag links to your favorite sites onto the Channel bar. Try it!
Click the Channel Guide button to see an up-to-date list of available channels. The Channel Guide lets you preview new channels and add your favorites to the Channel bar.

New channels are arriving every day!
