Orchid Righteous 3D Windows 95 Upgrade Installation International Disk Version 1.2 February 10, 1997 The following documents the installation procedures for the International release of the Righteous 3D under Windows 95. It further covers the following possible previous installation scenarios: 1. Clean install of Windows 95 2. Upgrade from Orchid Righteous 3D CD version 1.0 3. Upgrade from other compatible supported drivers 1. Clean install of Windows 95 A. Start Microsoft Windows 95. The New Hardware Found screen appears. B. Insert the Righteous 3D CD #1 into your CDROM drive. C. From the New Hardware Found screen, select the "Driver From Disk Provided by Hardware Manufacturer" option. Click on OK. D. When prompted, type in the driver location: i.e A:\WIN95 (where A is the location of the updated files). Click on OK. E. Windows 95 copies the Righteous 3D drivers to your hard drive. F. Installation is now complete! 2. Upgrade from Orchid Righteous 3D CD version 1.0 A. Launch Windows 95. Prior to running any Direct3D or Glide supported application, launch the Righteous 3D properties from the Windows 95 Device Manager. B. From the Driver tab menu, select change driver. C. When prompted, specify the location of the updated installation files. D. Upon completion, you will be returned to the Windows 95 Device Manager. E. Installation is now complete! 3. Upgrade from other compatible supported drivers A. Launch Windows 95. Prior to running any Direct3D or Glide supported application, launch the compatible devices properties from the Windows 95 Device Manager. B. From the Driver tab menu, select change driver. C. When prompted, specify the location of the updated installation files. D. Upon completion, you will be returned to the Windows 95 Device Manager. E. Installation is now complete!
