################ RUNNING THE DEMO ################ To run the demo, double click on the CAD X11 Demo icon in the GrayTech program group. This will bring up a dialog box which will allow you to select the demo to view; design and drafting features or shading. The workstation will then be controlled by the demo software. The demonstration software takes approximately 15 minutes to view. ##################### INTERRUPTING THE DEMO ##################### To pause the demo, press the left mouse button or the 'p' key. To resume the demo after a pause, press the middle mouse button or the 'r' key. To quit the demo, press the right mouse button or the 'q' key. Once the time period has expired, delete the CAD X11 Demo directory and the GrayTech Program group, and return the tape to GrayTech Software, Inc. At that time, if you wish, we will send a new copy of the CAD X11 demo. ############### INTERACTIVE USE ############### Hands-on usage of the software may be initiated by selecting one of the three interactive icons from the GrayTech program group. The standard interface is the interface used by CAD X11 on all UNIX platforms. The Windows interface is a Windows based interface and is still under development. The prompt mode will bring up a dialog box which will allow you to change the font and startup parameters used by CAD X11. You will be prompted for a password. If you have already obtained one from GrayTech, simply enter it and proceed into the program. If you do not have a password, contact GrayTech with the code number in the dialog box. GrayTech will then recontact you with your password. After entering the password, the demo software will be brought up in a similar manner as would a licensed copy of CAD X11. Saving and all output capabilities are deactivated. Your acceptance of the password from GrayTech constitutes your agreement to not use the software for production. ################################### KEY DEFINITIONS FOR INTERACTIVE USE ################################### This is an abbreviated list of CAD X11 key definitions Mouse Button 1 This button is used to select a menu, pick a piece of geometry for manipulation, pick a text based entity for manipulation, or indicate a crosshair position for CAD X11 processing.
