SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

For Macintosh OS
• System 7.0 or greater
• 5+ MB RAM and 5+ MB free hard-drive space
• 8-bit color display or greater
• CD-ROM drive

For Windows OS
• Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or Windows NT 
• 4+ MB RAM and 5+ MB free hard-drive space
• 8-bit color display or greater and graphics card
• CD-ROM drive

GETTING STARTED - MACINTOSH
• After inserting the disk into your CD-ROM drive, double-click on the 
"Browser Installer" icon. Follow the instructions onscreen to install the 
browser. After a system restart, you're ready to use the Kudo Browser. 
Open the Artville CD-ROM and double-click on the enclosed browser 
document in the upper-left corner of the window, as indicated by the Artville
"A" icon.

GETTING STARTED - WINDOWS 95 AND WINDOWS NT
• After inserting the CD-ROM into your computer, click on "Install" and 
follow the onscreen instructions. If this is not your first installation of 
an Artville CD-ROM, you will be prompted to overwrite the path 
C:\KUDOREAD\. Simply click on "Yes" to correctly install your new 
CD-ROM. To launch the browser, go to the Artville program group from 
the "Start" menu and select the catalog file.

GETTING STARTED - WINDOWS 3.1
• After inserting the CD-ROM into your computer, choose "Run" from the 
File menu within the Program Manager. Type D:STARTUP.EXE and click 
OK. (CD-ROM drives typically use "D" as their drive letter. Yours may 
vary.) Click "Install" and follow the on-screen instructions. If this is not 
your first installation of an Artville CD-ROM, you will be prompted to 
overwrite the path C:\KUDOREAD\. Simply click on "Yes" to correctly 
install your new CD-ROM. Two program groups, "Kudo Catalog Reader" 
and "Artville" are installed. Go to the catalog file inside "Artville" and 
double-click to launch the Kudo browser.

TECHNICAL NOTES
Each Artville volume comes with a four-color printed reference guide that 
shows all images contained on the CD and a Kudo search engine that 
enables easy access to images. Artville images are compatible with all 
popular publishing page-layout applications, image-editing programs, and 
third-party plug-ins, filters and extensions.
