PKZIP 2.60 for Windows 3.1x, Windows 9x and Windows NT has many new 
and useful features.

  * Additional File Support

          View and extract from TAR, GZIP, MIME, BinHex, UUEncoded, 
          and XXEncoded file formats. Create UUEncoded .ZIP files.

  * Wizard

          A helpful Wizard is included to assist novice PKZIP users
          with the compression and extraction processes.

  * List File Support

          Select a "List File" for adding a specified group of files 
          at once to a .ZIP archive instead of choosing files 
          individually. This is a useful feature for frequent backups.

  * New File Commands

          Copy, move, delete and rename a .ZIP file from within PKZIP 
          for Windows.

  * Run an .EXE File Directly From a .ZIP File

          PKZIP for Windows can run an executable file from within an
          archive without the need to extract first.

  * Shortcut Creation (Windows 9x/NT 4.0)

          Create shortcuts for a .ZIP file on the desktop by using a
          simple menu command.

  * Set File Association

          Associate .ZIP files with PKZIP for Windows, making PKZIP 
          the default .ZIP file application.

  * New Directory Creation

          Create new directories quickly and easily when unzipping 
          files.

  * Delete to Recycle Bin 

          Delete .ZIP file to the Windows 9x Recycle Bin for easy 
          recovery.

  * 32-bit Self-extracting File Format

          PKZIP for Windows includes the ability to create 32-bit 
          self-extracting Windows archives to run on Windows 9x 
          and Windows NT.

  * Certain users reported that it took somewhat longer to open .ZIP 
    files in PKZIP 2.60 for Windows than in previous versions.
    Version 2.60.02 fixes logic that may have caused such behaviour.

  * Improved handling of .GZ files by the 16-bit version of PKZIP 
    2.60 for Windows.

  * Fixed problems and added functionality in the Wizard related to 
    network drives.

  * File attributes are now restored with the files upon extraction 
    from Windows self-extractors.

  * Fixed incorrect date/version information specified (via Explorer) 
    in the pkzipw.exe Properties dialog.
