Selecting Objects




Selected Objects Change Appearance

Circuit Components change color when they are selected.
A selected Resistor

Rectangular circuit objects that can be resized, like Output Signals, will acquire drag handles.
A selected Output Signal

Rectangular circuit objects that cannot be resized, like Transfer Functions, will acquire a bounding rectangle.
A selected Transfer Function



Selecting Objects With a Click

To select, or toggle the selection of a single circuit object.
  1. Select the Selection Cursor from the Components Toolbar

  2. The mouse cursor will change to the Selection Cursor to indicate that the Editor is in Selection Mode.

  3. Position the mouse cursor over a circuit object and the cursor will change to indicate that the object below the cursor can be selected.

  4. Click the left mouse button to select the circuit object, or Click the left mouse button while holding the Shift key down to toggle selection of the circuit object.




Selecting Objects With a Drag Area

To select, or toggle the selection of one, or more, circuit objects in an area.
  1. Select the Selection Cursor from the Components Toolbar

  2. The mouse cursor will change to the Selection Cursor to indicate that the Editor is in Selection Mode.

  3. Position the mouse cursor so that it is not over a circuit object, which means that the cursor will look like this , and not this .

  4. Click and hold the left mouse button, drag the mouse until a dotted rectangle completely surrounds the circuit objects you want to select, and then release the mouse button. If you drag the selection rectangle while holding the Shift key down, the selection of the circuit object within the rectangle will be toggled.
