Inserting Objects




Inserting Components

  1. Select the desired component from the Components Toolbar
    Wire
    Ground
    Resistor
    Capacitor
    Inductor
    Voltage Source
    Current Source
    Dependent Voltage Source
    Dependent Current Source
    Voltage Tag
    Current Tag

  2. The mouse cursor will change to the Insert Cursor to indicate that the Editor is in Insertion Mode. Insert components into the circuit with a click, drag, and release. Components have two end points. The component's first end point will be placed where the mouse button is clicked and the second end point will be placed where the mouse button is released.



Inserting Circuit Tools

  1. Select the desired circuit tool from the Components Toolbar
    Transfer Function
    Bode Plot
    Input Signal
    Output Signal

  2. The mouse cursor will change to the Insert Cursor to indicate that the Editor is in Insertion Mode. Insert circuit tools into the circuit with a click, drag, and release. Circuit tools are rectangular and are inserted by defining any two corners of the rectangle. The circuit tool's first corner will be placed where the mouse button is clicked and the second corner will be placed where the mouse button is released.



Inserting Other Objects

The only circuit object that cannot be classified as a Component, or a Circuit Tool, is the Text Block.
  1. Select Text Block from the Components Toolbar
    Text Block

  2. The mouse cursor will change to the Insert Cursor to indicate that the Editor is in Insertion Mode. Insert a Text Block into the circuit with a click, drag, and release. Text Blocks are rectangular and are inserted by defining any two corners of the rectangle. The Text Block`'s first corner will be placed where the mouse button is clicked and the second corner will be placed where the mouse button is released.
