How to scan a CD or a floppy disk

You can start a scan of removable drives from the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal or from the Windows shortcut menu available from Windows Explorer, on the  Desktop and other standard Windows tools.

In order to scan removable drives from the Windows shortcut menu:

select and right-click drives you wish to scan (you may select both a CD-ROM and a floppy drive at once). In the Windows shortcut menu that will open select Scan for viruses.

In order to scan a CD-ROM or a floppy disk for viruses from the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal:

Insert the disk into the CD-ROM drive or the floppy disk into the floppy drive. Note that the program can scan both the CD and floppy disk at the same time.
Click Scan removable drives in the left section of the Protection tab.

Using the Scan objects link, go to the Select Objects to Scan window, select removable drives and press the Scan button.
