ABBYY announces Opening of its UK Office
Munich, 6th July - ABBYY Software House, the leader in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and linguistic technologies, announces the opening of their UK office in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. This office will bring new focus for the company on the Channel in the UK and
Ireland.
ABBYY have chosen Ingram Micro UK Ltd as their distribution partner for their award-winning OCR software
ABBYY FineReader. Up until now the companyÆs focus has been on mail order with sales through
Dabs.com, Jungle.com, Micro Warehouse and Simply. ABBYY has also agreed to supply the
e-tailers Amazon, Buy.com, and Software Paradise. Recently ABBYY increased their market potential as Dixons Supplies Group have taken the product into stock in their PC World stores
nationwide.
