After the Internet Explorer browser is distributed and installed, you can provide future updates through a software distribution channel.
By default, Internet Explorer 5 automatically notifies users when when new releases of and updates to Internet Explorer are available. You can control how often Internet Explorer checks for this updated information. A Software Distribution Channel is not required for this notification method.
