Default browser

You can make your computer use Opera when executing web related protocols and file from outside of Opera, like clicking a hyperlink in another program or double-clicking an Internet shortcut on your desktop.

To use Opera for the older gopher and wais protocols, ask your service provider (ISP) how to set up proxy.

If you would like Opera to handle all file types and protocols listed, click .

You can be notified if Opera is not the default browser on your computer.

Note: If you have more than one version of Opera installed, only one of them can be your default browser.
