Winsta.exe: WinStation Monitor

Server-only: This tool is included in the Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit only.

This GUI tool monitors the status of all users logged on to a Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Terminal Server.

WinStation Monitor conserves resources while providing up-to-the-minute statistics, including user name, domain, IP address, session ID and connection status of currently logged-on users. This is particularly useful for Remote Administration tasks, as it gives the operator an immediate indication of other administrators who may be active on the system.

WinStation Monitor Features

• Automatic refresh as well as a manual refresh option (click View, and then Refresh).
• Tray icon in the status area displays the total number of sessions in a tool tip.
• Option for showing all sessions or only active sessions (click View, and then Show All).
• Data can be sorted in ascending or descending order by column.

WinStation Monitor runs only on Windows 2000 with Terminal Services enabled.
