Sipanel.exe: Soft Input Panel

This tool allows you to use Windows 2000 on computers that have a pen as the only or primary input device. Soft Input Panel does simple handwriting recognition and allows you to enter characters in any input field of any Windows-based application by writing the characters into Soft Input Panel and then sending the characters to the application. You can also choose to enter characters by using one of Soft Input Panel's keyboard views.

Soft Input Panel has three views:

When you start Soft Input Panel, a pen icon appears in the taskbar. Click the icon to toggle Soft Input Panel on and off. To run Soft Input Panel every time you log on, create a shortcut to Sipanel.exe, and place it in your computer's Startup folder. For information about creating shortcuts, see the Windows 2000 Help documentation.
