Installing MsInfoSetup

Note

The Microsoft System Information Extensions are not installed when you install the Windows® 2000 Resource Kit. To install them, use the following procedure:

To install the System Information Extensions

  1. Insert the Windows® 2000 Resource Kit companion CD in your CD-ROM drive.
  2. When the setup screen appears, click Explore the CD.
  3. In the <cdroot>/apps/msinfoext directory, double-click msinfosetup.exe.
  4. Follow the directions that appear on your screen.
