Using ClusRest

To run ClusRest

  1. Use NtBackup, a component of the Windows 2000 operating system, to perform a cluster restore on a node of the cluster.
This deposits the quorum data on the node's disk drive. The quorum data must be placed on the disk by NtBackup prior to running ClusRest.
  2. At the command prompt, run clusrest.
This causes the quorum disk to be restored to the state of the backup.
  3. Reboot the computer.

The cluster should be restored and running.
