Description

The Driver Signing subkey in HKCU stores entries for the code signing feature for Windows 2000. The entries in this subkey apply only to the current user of the computer.

Microsoft digitally signs driver files to affirm that the driver software has been tested with Windows and has not been altered since it was tested by Microsoft.

The entries in this subkey apply only to the current user of the computer. The entries in the Driver Signing subkey in HKLM apply to all users of the computer.

The system adds this subkey to the registry when you change the default value of one of its entries.
