Specifies the shutdown setting.

| 0x1 | Log off. Ends your session, leaving the computer running on full power. |
| 0x2 | Shut down. Ends your session and shuts down Windows 2000 so that you can safely turn off power. |
| 0x4 | Restart. Ends your session, shuts down Windows 2000, and starts Windows 2000 again. |

| 0x10 | Stand by. Maintains your session, keeping the computer running on low power with data still in memory. (This setting requires power management hardware support.) |

| 0x40 | Hibernate. Saves your session to disk so that you can safely turn off power. Your session is restored the next time you start Windows 2000. |

This value is maintained as the "last selection" for a given user. Windows 2000 writes this value whenever an option is selected from the shut down dialog.
