Restrict guest access to security log

Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Event Log\Settings for Event Logs

Description

If this policy is enabled, guests are prevented from access to the security event log.

By default, this policy is disabled.

Note

A user must possess the Manage auditing and security log user right in order to access the security log.

The Event Log folder that contains this policy is available only in Group Policy objects associated with domains, OUs, and sites. The Event Log folder does not appear in the Local Computer Policy object.
