RealTime Protector

The RealTime Protector is a memory-resident monitoring utility that monitors all files accessed on your system. This means that every time you open a file, copy a file or even so much as click on a file, RealTime Protector takes a brief look at it and lets you know if it's infected.

The RealTime Protector stays in your system tray (on the taskbar, where the icons stay near the clock) and from there you can change it's settings, disable it or enable it and finally exit the RealTime Protector. This component of F-Prot AntivirusÖ is constantly undergoing changes to add support to all the latest software to eliminate all false positives which may be detected in some software.

As of yet, the RealTime Protector is only equipped with the ability to let you change it's settings if running Windows 95/98/ME. This means that RealTime Protector for Windows NT/2000/XP does not let you change it's settings. This will however be implemented in future releases.
