 If you've ever wanted to create your own web site, but been put off by the sheer volume of work and technical expertise required, then WebSite X5 could be the solution. This well-designed program takes conventional web design technology, then presents it in the form of a simple wizard, and so making the entire process just as simple as it could possibly be. There are no complex options to complete, and you don 't need any previous web development experience: just keep clicking Next, completing each dialog in turn, and at the end you'll have a top quality, professional web site.
This is a very linear approach to design, then, but the program still finds ways to let you express your own creativity. This starts with a choice of attractive site styles and colour schemes, but you can then customise them to an unusual degree. Not keen on the banner graphic, for instance? Replace it with your own. Or add a text caption in your choice of font, colour, and with effects like drop shadows.
After creating the pages for your site, you can populate them with text, graphics, video or audio files, even Flash objects (SWF files), just by dragging and dropping. And then you can engage in a little more optional fine tuning, customising details like scroll bar style, menu effects and the text you want to use. When you're happy, choose the final Export step, and WebSite X5 will either upload the site to your web space via FTP, or save it to disc for use on a CD or DVD.
