Outlook XP Security Tweak
Microsoft Outlook 2002, included with Office XP, introduced new restrictions to stop possible unsafe e-mail attachments from being opened or saved. If you receive an e-mail message that contains one of the blocked file types, you may see the following warning message:
Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments: [...]
Although access to the attachment has been blocked, the attachment still exists in the message.
This feature of Tweak-XP allows you to modify those restrictions and to specify which files should be blocked or not.
How to use this feature:
- Choose from the file-type list those file types you do not want to be blocked by Outlook XP and check the approriate checkbox.
- To allow all file-types, click the 'Check all' button
- To disallow all file-types listed, click the 'Uncheck all' button. You may also check the 'Default settings' checkbox.
- Click on 'Save settings' to save your file-type selection.
You must restart Outlook for the changes to take effect.
