The program censorship

The Tweak-XP Program-Censorship function offers an easy way to control the choice of programs which can be executed on your machine and those which should not be allowed to be executed. Just specify the executables / files that should not be allowed to be opened / executed, and Tweak-XP will control each program execution. If a file is executed which is specified in the list below, the program / file won't be launched.

How to use this feature:

Click on 'Single application' to add a file which should be added to the list of censored applications. You can choose only .exe files. If you click on 'All applications of a directory', all .exe files of a directory will be censored.
As soon as you've checked the 'Activate protection' check box the program censorship will be prepared. The protection will remain active until you disable the protection from within Tweak-XP.

To remove applications from the list of allowed files, please use the specific buttons.

Attention:

  • When you activate the program censorship for the very first time, Tweak-XP will ask you for a deactivation password - you will need that password to deactivate the program censorship or to remove applications from the list of censored programs. This ensures that nobody else can disable the program censorship without knowing the deactivation password.
  • As soon as the program censorship is activated, the deactivation of the Tweak-XP autostart feature (see Settings help page) will also be password protected !
