Internet Explorer Tweaks

Customize your Internet Explorer - no problem with Tweak-XP. You can add your own animated logo to Internet Explorer or you can skin the toolbar of Internet Explorer as easy as possible. Skins and some animations are included to Tweak-XP. Make your selection and tweak it !

Change the Internet Explorer logo: the logo is displayed in the right top corner of Internet Explorer and can be changed to your own animation easily.

The animated logo of Internet Explorer

A skinned Internet Explorer toolbar

How to use these features:

Animated Logo:

  • Select the kind of logo you want to be displayed.
  • Click the 'Open and set .bmp file' button.
  • A file dialog will be displayed where you have to select the animated .bmp file. Two files are included to Tweak-XP. If you want to create your own animated .bmp files, see below for more information.
  • Restart Internet Explorer.

Toolbar background:

  • Click the 'Open and set .bmp file' button.
  • A file dialog will be displayed where you have to select the background .bmp file. There are several files included to Tweak-XP.
  • Restart Internet Explorer.

How to create an animated bitmap file:

1. Start your bitmap editor (for example Paint.exe is included to Windows) to create an empty bitmap file. For large logo, use 38 pixels width and (38 x F) pixels height. For small logo use 22 pixels width and (22 x F) pixels height. "F" is amount of frames you want to create. Example, if you want to create large logo with 20 frames, then create 38 x 760 pixels bitmap file.

2. Use your bitmap editor to create animation frames. For a large logo, use 38 pixels width and 38 pixels height. For a small logo, use 22 pixels width and 22 pixels height. The amount of bitmap files you have to create depends on how many frames you want to use. Create frames as many as you want, and then place one by one in the empty bitmap file. See the picture on the right. NOTE: The first frame will be used as bitmap logo when IE is in the off-line mode.

3. Save the bitmap animation you have created and integrate it to Internet Explorer by using Tweak-XP.

More Internet Explorer tweaks:

In this box you'll find several additional tweaks for Internet Explorer - all of them are selfexplaining. You might also right-click an item to get more information on it's function.
