Hide discdrives and control panel applets

With just a few mouseclicks you can hide discdrives from the Windows Explorer. This should be done for security reasons if you want some drives not to appear in the Windows Explorer and on the whole system. You can also save some system resources by hiding unneeded discdrives.

Choose the drive(s) you want to hide from the list and untag the corresponding checkbox. Remember that you will have to restart Windows to make the new seetings take effect.

Windows Folder Protection:

This feature of Tweak-XP allows you to disable / enable the warning messages which are displayed in Exlporer when you try to access a system folder.

Hide Control Panel Applets:

Here you can disable several parts of the Windows XP control panel applets. You can hide function tabs and disable options to restrict access to critical system configurations and to prevent changes to your system.
