I get the message "Test is complete. Your scanner requires the scanner driver dialog boxes to be displayed before you scan."

Microsoft Office Document Imaging has determined that it cannot use its own settings and presets to control your scanner. You might also see this message if you click Cancel during the scanner testing procedure. Therefore, your regular scanner driver dialog box will appear each time you scan, and some of the scanning preset settings will be ignored.

If you clicked Cancel during the scanner test, or if you downloaded updated scanner information since the last time you scanned, you can rerun the scanner test.

How?

1. On the File menu, click Scan New Document, and then click Scanner.
2. In the Choose Scanner dialog box, click Test Scanner.

Tip

You can check the Microsoft Office Web site for updated files that might include new information for your scanner. On the Help menu, click Microsoft Office on the Web.
