Zoom and pan the page pane
You can zoom to change the size of images displayed in the page pane, or pan to change the on-screen position of documents that are displayed at a large zoom percentage.
Zoom using the toolbar
- Do one of the following:
- Select a zoom percentage using the Zoom box in the Microsoft Office Document Imaging toolbar.
- Click Zoom In
or Zoom Out

Zoom using the menu
- On the View menu, click Zoom, and then drag the slider to the desired zoom percentage.
- Click anywhere on the thumbnail image displayed in the dialog box to display that portion of the document.
You can keep the Zoom dialog box displayed on your screen while you work. To close the dialog box, click the Close button.
Pan using the mouse
- On the View menu, click Pan.
The mouse cursor changes from an arrow to a hand.
- Click and drag the page as needed.
Notes
- When Pan is activated (the hand cursor is visible), you cannot select text in the page pane. To return to selection mode, right-click in the page pane and click Select.
- Panning has no effect if the entire page is visible on the screen.
