Align scanned images

Use this procedure to correct the orientation of pages that were scanned upside down, sideways, or out of alignment.

1. On the View menu, click Options.
2. Select the Auto rotate and Auto straighten check boxes, and then click OK.
3. On the File menu, click Recognize Text using OCR.

   If you've already performed optical character recognition (OCR) on the current document, a confirmation message appears.

Tip

To ensure that all new documents you scan are properly aligned, make sure that the Auto rotate and Auto straighten check boxes are selected in the Processing tab of the Preset Options dialog box.
