Your new template is ready to use. The template is saved in your Templates folder. To create a new workbook based on the template, click New on the File menu.
Changing the template To change the template — for example, to copy data from additional workbook cells to the database or to change the location of cells in which you enter data — click Open on the File menu, open the template, and then click Template Wizard on the Data menu.
Changing database records You can change the data entered in a particular record of the database by opening and editing the workbook associated with the record. When you save the edited workbook, you can either update the existing record or save the edited information as a new record, leaving the existing record intact. You can also edit a record directly in the database program.
Deleting records To delete a record, you must delete the record in the database program. Deleting the workbook associated with a record does not delete the record.
Routing new workbooks To automatically route a new workbook created from the template to selected recipients, click Add Routing Slip, and then select the information service you want to use. The service you select must support Microsoft Exchange.
