Run a presentation with the PowerPoint Viewer

To use the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer for a presentation, you must have it installed on your computer. You can install the viewer when you package a presentation in the Pack and Go Wizard, or you can install it directly from the Microsoft Office Web site.

The viewer will not run presentations that are password-protected.

1. Start the viewer in one of two ways:
   • In Windows Explorer, go to the folder in which you installed the viewer, and double-click the viewer file, named Ppview32.
   • If you installed the viewer directly to the computer rather than through the Pack and Go Wizard, you can open it from your Start menu: Click the Start button, point to Programs, and then click Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 97.
2. Locate and select the presentation you want to show, and then select any other options you want.
3. Click Show.
