Save a graphic
Select the graphic
that you want to save, then do one of the following:
Save
your graphic as a file
- Select a picture, WordArt, AutoShape, or group of objects,
then right-click.
- On the shortcut menu, click Save as Picture.
- In the Save dialog box, select a format, or use the default format.
- Click Save.
Note For drawing objects
(such as AutoShapes), select the Microsoft Windows Metafile (.wmf) extension to
edit the picture later.
Store
your graphic in the Clip Organizer
- On the Object toolbar, click Clip Organizer
.
- Drag your picture, WordArt, AutoShape, or group of objects into the Clip Organizer.
- When prompted, name the object.
Store your graphic in the Design Gallery
Use
this procedure to save groups of shapes and Design Gallery
objects or shapes you've changed.
- Do one of the following:
- Select the picture, WordArt,
AutoShape, or group of objects.
- To create a grouped object, select all the objects.
- On the Insert menu, click Add Selection to Design
Gallery.
- In the Object name box, type a name for the object.
- In the Category box, do one of the following:
- Type a new category name.
- Click the category name you want.
- Click OK.
Note Changes that you make to the Design Gallery are
saved when you save your publication.
