About views of interactive lists or document libraries

You can place a view of a document library or an interactive list— including survey results — on a Web page. The view displays live data, so that as items in the list or document library are updated, the view updates automatically.

You can choose whether or not to include a command bar that enables site visitors to add items to the list or document library.

The Web page that contains the view must be in the same Web site as the list or document library, and the Web site must be on a server that is running SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft.
