Create a subweb based on SharePoint Team Services or FrontPage Server Extensions 2002
- On Tools menu, point to Server, and then click Administration Home.
- On the Site Administration page, under Subwebs, click Create a subweb.
- Type a name for the new subweb in the space provided.
- In the Permissions area, specify whether or not you want the subweb to use the same accounts and roles information as the current web site. If you choose unique permissions, type the administrator user name.
- In the Site Type area, specify whether you want the site created as a SharePoint team web site or as a blank web site. (This option is only available on webs hosted by web servers running SharePoint Team Services.)
- Click Submit.
Note If you enable unique permissions, a copy of the parent web's user accounts and roles remain with the subweb. You can then delete any accounts and roles that you don't want and add new ones as needed. The subweb will also retain the same user role setting for anonymous (guest) users as the parent web unless you specify a different role.
