Specify the design-time control script language

You can specify the scripting language used by design-time controls (DTCs) that write scripts.

1. In an open web site, in Page view, open the page you are using with DTCs. 
2. On the File menu, click Properties, and then click the General tab.
3. Do one of the following:

   Select server script languages

   • Under Design-time control scripting, in the Server box, select the type of script you want to use. Select Inherit from web if you want to use the default scripting language for the current web site.

   Note   If a given DTC specifies which scripting language the control writes, the control settings will override the setting you choose here.

   Select client script languages

   • Under Design-time control scripting, in the Client box, select the type of script you want to use. Select Inherit from web if you want to use the default scripting language for the current web site.
