Determine which controls are available to FrontPage

Choose the type of control you want to work with:

Design-time controls (DTCs)

This procedure does not install or remove DTCs from your computer; it shows you which controls are already on your computer and lets you choose which ones to use in Microsoft FrontPage. Whenever you download, install, register, or otherwise add a DTC to your computer, that control is automatically added to the Control list in the Customize Design-Time Control List dialog box. Similarly, when you uninstall, delete, or otherwise remove a DTC from your computer, that control is automatically removed from the Control list.

  1. On the Insert menu, click Web Component.
  2. In the left pane, click Advanced Controls.
  3. In the right pane, click Design-Time Control, and then click Next.

The Choose a control list appears, showing a subset of the DTCs installed on your computer.

  4. Click Customize.
  5. In the Customize Design-Time Control list, select the check boxes of the DTCs that you want to make available, or clear the check boxes of the DTCs that you do not want to make available.
