Automatically copy content from a cell to an adjacent row or column
You
can copy content from one cell to other rows or columns in your table without
having to cut and paste each time.
In Page view, do one or both of the following:
Copy content from one cell to an adjacent row of cells
Position the insertion point in the cell with the content you
want to copy.
Select that cell and the
adjacent cells in a row to
the right by dragging the cursor.
On the Table
menu, select Fill, and click Right.
Copy content from one cell to an adjacent column of cells
Position the insertion point in the cell with the content you
want to copy.
Select that cell and the
adjacent cells in a column
below by dragging the
cursor.
On the Table
menu, select Fill, and click Down.
Note
You must select cells that are either in a row to the right or in a column
below the cell with the content you are copying.
From the original cell, you must select cells that run in a straight line from the
original cell, either horizontally in rows, or vertically in columns.
