Add a control

Choose the type of control you want to work with:

Design-time controls (DTCs)

1. On the Insert menu, click Web Component
2. In the left pane, click Advanced Controls.
3. In the right pane, click Design-Time Control, and then click Next.

   The Choose a control list appears, showing a subset of the DTCs installed on your computer. 

4. Click the control you want to insert, and then click Finish.

Notes

• DTCs that rely on data bindings may not function properly, or may have limited functionality, in Microsoft FrontPage. Consult the documentation for the DTC to determine if you can use it properly in FrontPage.

ActiveX controls

1. On the Insert menu, click Web Component
2. In the left pane, select Advanced Controls.
3. In the right pane, select ActiveX Control, and then click Next.

   The Choose a control list appears, showing a subset of the ActiveX controls installed on your computer. 

4. Click the control you want to insert, and then click Finish.
