Display a combo box from a table as a text box in a query

Changing how the field displays in the query doesn't affect how the field displays in the underlying table.

1. Open the query in Design view.
2. In the query design grid, right-click anywhere in the column of the field you want to change, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
3. Click the Lookup tab.
4. In the DisplayControl property box, click Text Box.
