The feature described in this Help topic is only available if support for right-to-left languages is enabled through Microsoft Office Language Settings.
In addition, to enable the right-to-left features in Microsoft Access, you must be running a 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system that has right-to-left support - for example, Microsoft Windows 2000.
Change individual table direction
In table Design view
- Open a table in Design view.
- On the Table Design toolbar, click Properties
.
- Click the Orientation property.
- Do one of the following:
For a right-to-left direction, click Right-to-Left.
For a left-to-right direction, click Left-to-Right.
In table Datasheet view
- Open a table in Datasheet view.
Click anywhere in the text field.
- On the Format menu, click Datasheet.
- In the Direction option box, do one of the following:
For a right-to-left direction, click Right-to-Left.
For a left-to-right direction, click Left-to-Right.
Change the default direction for new tables
- On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the International tab.
- In the Default Direction option group, do one of the following:
Click Left-To-Right to have new objects displayed in a direction familiar to left-to-right users.
Click Right-To-Left to have new objects displayed in a direction familiar to right-to-left users.
