Properties

Description

URL

This is the name of the folder where the files/web pages are located,

These files/web pages can be in any of the recognized formats, e.g. htm, html, asp and so on û virtually any format which the browser can understand.

Path

The path to the folder, e.g. C:\deptwebs\sales where the web pages to be viewed by the sales team are located.

Example

If you have two web sites on your system and you wish to make one appear as part of the other, you can add a virtual folder. Any access to that virtual folder is directed to the path specified.

So if I have two folders, c:\web1 and c:\web2 and I want web2 to appear as a virtual folder called /testweb in the website for web1 I would enter a virtual folder of

URL=/testweb, Path=c:\web2. I would then be able to access the contents of web2 by entering /testweb/xxxx.htm in my browser.

The default file

The default file should be called one of the following:

This list is in the order of priority which the files will be searched for. The folder sales can be in any location on the LAN as long as FTGate can "see" it.
