FTGate treats messages with headers containing any of the character strings listed as priority messages.
A priority string is anything that is entered in the header. FTGate would scan the entire header for a match, if a match was found the message would be treated as priority, thus being delivered immediately.
If you have a particular domain you wish to be sent out without delay, you could enter the sending domain name as a priority string. the result would that all message from that domain would be treated as priority messages and sent out immediately, even if this means forcing a connection.
Another use would be to add the email address of say, the sales team/members to have their messages sent without any delay.
To add a word filter follow these steps:
Enter the priority string in the 'Priority' field
Press the 'Add Priority String' button.
Any message tagged by the mail client as high priority would be processed immediately if the option 'Send priority messages immediately' on the Delivery properties page is checked.
To add a suitable set of default strings, click the 'Add default priority strings' button.
To remove one or more priority strings, select them from the list and press the 'Delete selected Priorities' button. The selected Priority strings would be removed from the list.
