General

This topic covers the general mailbox properties for the group and list mailboxes. The following fields are available to enter the relevant information about each mailbox.

 

Property

Description

First name

These three fields should be configured to be the name of the person in control of the mailbox.

Last name

Common name

Department

Enter the department responsible for the mailbox, e.g. "Support team".

Job Title

By default this will display the mailbox type here. Change this to the job title or leave it blank.

Phone

Enter an office phone number and extension number if required.

Fax

Enter a fax number if they have one.

Status

Enabled or disabled. Enabled allows the mailbox to accept mail. Disabled does not. Also prevents the user sending mail.
