Description:


XPlay enables iPod owners to use the iPod for cross-platform file transfer, play their iPod songs under Windows, and transfer their PC-based MP3 collections to the iPod for on-the-go listening.

XPlay includes MacDrive technology, which makes your iPod appear as a normal drive under Windows for the sharing of data files. It makes your songs, playlists, artists, and albums appear in custom folders in Explorer, so they're easy to access and manipulate, and organized similarly to how the iPod organizes them. 

Changes in Current Version: 
Added: Beta 1 requires iPod system software 1.1 or newer
Added: Right-clicking on a song or songs and choosing Properties will open a tabbed properties window, enabling you to view and edit assorted properties, including Name, Artist, Volume, Equalization, and more
Added: Automatic synchronization now supports M3U playlist files. If you synchronize folders containing M3U playlist files, equivalent playlists will be created on your iPod
Added: Automatic synchronization now resolves shortcuts
Added: Under Windows XP and 2000, when automatic synchronization is complete, your iPod is automatically stopped (if possible), so that it is ready to be unplugged
Added: Right-clicking on a playlist item reveals a Reorder Playlist submenu, with As Shown and Shuffle options
Added: Right-clicking on a song or songs reveals a Send To Playlist submenu, which will enable you to send the selected song(s) to either a new or existing playlist
Added: Under Windows XP, the iPod drive icon now looks like an iPod
Added: The Explorer toolbar now contains New Playlist, Send To Playlist, Play and Disconnect icons, as appropriate for the context
Improved: Almost everything. XPlay is prettier, slicker, faster, more reliable, more powerful, and much closer to being complete
Improved: Copying songs to your iPod is now somewhat faster than in previous releases
Fixed: Problems with Windows Media Player song transfers resulting in multiple copies of songs on the iPod have been eliminated
