Australian Pay Calculator for Windows Version 1.0 The Australian Pay Calculator is for employees and small employers to calculate weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payments. The programme consists of two calculators : 1 The Pay calculator: Used to calculate the Gross, Net and Tax amounts from the hours worked. 2 The Tax from Gross Calculator: Used when the Gross amount is known. The Australian Pay Calculator can calculate PAYE tax instalment deductions when an employee : - Has claimed the Tax free threshold. - Has not claimed the tax free threshold. - Has not given a Tax File number to the employer. - Is a Non Resident. - Is not eligible for leave loading. - Has a HECS debt (Accumulated Higher Education Contribution Scheme Debt). The calculator will also take into account Zone Rebates and Family Tax Assistance deductions. In addition, if the employee has submitted a Medicare Levy Variation the calculator can calculate : - Variations from spouse only, to up to five children. - Full Exemption to the Medicare Levy - Half Exemption to the Medicare Levy The Australian Pay Calculator will calculate any allowable combination of the above options.
