A Brief History of
CNet logo

Cnet Amiga was created in 1986, a vision and port of Ken Pletzer's CNet/64/128 popular BBS software. The Amiga lent itself to the ease of multi-port use because of it's fantastic multi-tasking capabilities. Ken Pletzer developed and distributed CNet Amiga from it's beginnings until March of 1996. It was at that time that CNet reached a crossroads of sorts. ZenMetal Software purchased CNet Amiga - its code and all rights pertaining to it - from Perspective Software and we have been supporting CNet Amiga at a feverish rate, never seen before with CNet Amiga. This very idea will not change for a long time to come!
