The Amiga section of Oxyron exists since THE PARTY 1994, with
the first release of our demo entitled "KILLING TIME", which
was high respected for the coding, just like all of OXYRON's demos to date.
But a good demo isn´t only code, there must also be a good Design
- our biggest problem. We´re learning, but we really can´t
do it well without a graphic artist--it has been a long time since we have
had one.
So if some good graphic artist feels like they want to join us, please
mail TTS !
Here is a list of our productions with some links:
-
KILLING TIME
[DISK 1,
DISK 2,
DISK 3,
DISK 4]
Ranked 10th at The Party 1994 in Herning/Denmark
Oh yeah, our first try on Amiga.... and it was hard.
With nearly no knowledge about this system, but overwhelmed by his power
compared to the C64, in the early autumn of 1994 we decided to make an
Amiga-Demo. A dozen single executables from TTS and Axis, 3 mods from Syrincs
and Starfox and some with Maxon Cinema created Pics - and a poor Dante
had linked them together with BlitzBasic (yep!), the only way to make a
Loader we knew at this time.
The Effects in this Demo were really good, but the Design was sooo ugly,
that today we are not so happy with this release....
-
TEMPLE OF DECEASE
Ranked 3th at Black Box Symposium 1995
- DARKNESS
Released in 1995
- HOPEFULLY DEAD
Released in 1995
- EXORCISM
Ranked 13th at The Party 1995 in Fredericia/Denmark
What a bad result... One hour before the deadline, Axis has
lost some of the sources for his parts, so the Demo wasn´t ready
at the competition. Bad Luck, Bad Result.....
-
DEATH SENTENCE
Ranked 4th at Symposium 1996 in Seevetal/Germany
btw., this Demo has some effects in HAM8-Truecolor. Black Lotus
mentioned, that they have invented 18 Bit-Truecolor. The first Black Lotus
- Demo with this graphics mode was released at the Gathering 1996, exactly
at the same time, as Oxyron released Death Sentence with some effects from
TTS in the same graphics mode. So, who is really the Inventor ? Black Lotus
? Oxyron ?
No ! In the year 1995, Balance has released a Demo called "Freak",
and in our opinion, THIS was the first time, that 18-Bit-Truecolor was
used in a Demo !
- PHONGFREE 40k
Ranked 1st
at The Party 1996 in Aars/Denmark
- PartyHall
Ranked 7th at The Symposium 1997 in Fallingbostel/Germany
just a Party Joke, not a real demo...walk around in the Partyhall
of the Symposium with the Engine of Trapped 2, and see some Organizers !
