Manufacturing and Purchasing Positions
Business Manager
North Sioux City, SD
These positions will lead the respective commodity team in the procurement of material, equipment, and services
for Gateway 2000 through effective communication and teamwork globally. The Business Managers are responsible
for managing high-level relationships and negotiating with key suppliers. A Bachelor's degree in a business
related field AND at least six years of purchasing experience, with past experience in a supervisory capacity a plus;
OR, an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Three to five years of experience with other areas of
manufacturing and Certified Purchasing Manager certification are preferred. Additionally, experience with one or
more of the following are preferred: PC experience negotiating deals in the supply base, including server/workstation/
networks, software (i.e. Microsoft), and/or peripherals (printers and scanners). The ideal candidate will have
Purchasing experience, a broad knowledge of the PC industry , and a Finance background. Experience in Marketing is a
plus.

This position will manage all internal Quality activities such as Ongoing Reliability Testing , Process Audit,
and Business Practices. A Bachelor's degree, AND a minimum of ten years of quality management experience directly

Responsible for developing and maintaining programs and reports used as tools for decision making, tracking
inventory accuracy and identifying proper inventory stocking levels for inventory warehouses. A Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Business, or a related field, AND a minimum of one year of materials experience is required; OR, an equivalent
combination of education and/or experience. A minimum of one year of materials experience at Gateway 2000 or comparable
experience in a similar environment is preferred.

This position is responsible for facilitating continuous improvement within Manufacturing and supporting
departments by ensuring product / process quality and integrity. Provides Production and Manufacturing Engineering
support with build methods. Supports production retest with technical issues. Coordinates with Supplier Quality
Engineering, Technical Support, and Customer Services with field quality issues and customer complaints. A Bachelor's
in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; OR, an American Society of
Quality Control certification as a Certified Quality Engineer; OR, an equivalent combination of education and/or
experience. Experience with Quality Improvement activities in a Manufacturing environment is preferred.

Performs and has primary responsibility for planning and the purchase of complex material, equipment, and services
for Gateway 2000. To meet and exceed our customers' expectations by providing the highest quality products and services
on time, resulting in the lowest cost of ownership. A Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, AND a minimum of 4
to 6 years of related experience, OR, and equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience with other
areas of manufacturing (production, inventory) in addition to experience in marketing or engineering is preferred. CPM
(Certified Purchasing Manager) CPIM or APIC's certification is preferred.
